![]() The events that follow when he and Leo are sent on a mission to discover who runs the Thresl slave ring King Vohne has discovered only serve to deepen Zander's resolve. It is this threat that makes Zander realize maybe it's time to stand up to his father and become his own man. Zander loves the catlike being though, human shape or not, and they already share a mental bond, so that is out of the question. Well, not until his father started to threaten that his Thresl might need to move on since they still have not bonded after two years. He comes from a rich family with high expectations for him to do well, and has never even thought about rebelling. ![]() Zander is a diplomat through and through. Usually, the Thresl assumes human form fairly quickly after they meet their mate, so this was a nice variation and offered some additional understanding of the Thresl psyche. ![]() The central relationship between Zander and Leo is different than the previous ones, since Leo refuses to shift for the longest time. In this third book, my understanding of their abilities and needs deepened, and a very dark plot, hinted at in earlier books, is finally exposed. ![]() ![]() The culture and abilities of the Thresl continue to fascinate me. ![]()
